  1. Fabulous photo of William S. Burroughs by Brion Gysin - never saw it before. WSB LOOKS different -- the photographer changes the face of the person being photographed. Where did you find it? Best, V. Vale,

  2. hi there you can purchase this photo, it's part of a series of 4 - and others, done by Brion Gysin of WSB on the publication date of Naked Lunch in Paris, 1959. there are also photos of BG by Ian Sommerville on the same date- Brion gave the negatives to Barry Miles, and the prints on sale are stamped as authorised prints, beautifully hand printed. take a look here at the available works, scroll down to the photos: http://www.octobergallery.co.uk/artists/gysin/index.shtml. all very best to all, enjoy - Kathelin Gray

  3. Thank you for the link. i actually still have the poster for the gysin expo that i saw at your gallery back in 1981 at the time of Burrough's London 'Final Academy'. I think i may have also had a catalogue but if I did it has long since gone over the years & continents! If I wasn't a poor single mother of three, i would be snapping up some of the original artwork! such an amazing, under-appreciated artist. Maybe you could help? I do have the Gysin Thames & Hudson book (as well as the Burroughs one) but was there anything published for the recent London exhibition?
    Regards/
