Well, I don't think this was the best decision because it gives Karzai a free victory. So I guess, now there is perhaps no need for another election, because the result is already decided...maybe even if Abdullah stayed as a candidate there would be some cheating enabling Karzai to be re-elected anyway. ReplyDeleteYeah, but it is also a complete vote of NO confidence in Karzai...will be interesting to see what happens, my guess is that a 'little' bit of USA pressure is going to be applied behind the scenes in Karzai's direction to step down. we shall have to wait and see.
