Paris, City of Light, really is a tale of two cities. One of them is above ground, with its beloved Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame. That's the city the world sees. We visited the catacombs in Paris last year,
ReplyDeletewhat an experience that was. Something like 6 million people were reinterned undergound after a 17th century clearing out due to health issues.
They are sorted according to which cemetary and when it was cleared. Walls of bones very spooky
