    i'm boggled by kaczynski's obsession with "leftists" and his arm-chair psychological examination of their character and motivations. it seems like he's seeking some kind of unitary achilles heel of leftism to try to spur people out of inaction, but i think he approached all these serious problems from the wrong angles. he's trying to force complex, multivalent and interactive systems into reductive textbook algorithms. i can appreciate the motives behind some of his thoughts, but this guy was just seriously WRONG in his analysis and tactics, in my opinion. the ego and hubris, especially in his cold-blooded murder of mostly impotent technological figureheads, is nauseating and indefensible.
