brings a different point of view to the Altamont story -
a good read not only about the Stones but also about the Grateful Dead

Yes I am glad that you enjoyed it.
If I had been 'partly' responsible for the disaster of Altamont, and let's not forget that Mr Cutler was 'au-fait' with the Angels due to his friendship with the GD. Well I think that i would have crawled under a rock and stayed there for the rest of my life. The unfortunate thing is that a lot of the younger generation do not know the history of rock'n'roll...and so maybe they will lap it up.
If he stayed up in FNQ and just hung with 'Bear' that would be fine but unfortunately he also had to turn up when I went to see 'Black Cab's' 2nd album launch and well...sorry the man is an idiot with ABSOLUTELY nothing to say.
Proximity to people who are 'great' does not make you great and finally when he tell the GD audience on the Europe 72 tour:
"It's great to be here WE have been waiting to get here for ages" or whatever, I just want to scream out that 'YOU ARE FROM HERE YOU F*CKING IDIOT!"
(This is of course only my personal opinion.)
    Regards/
