Through a comment left here (thank you) I have just discovered this young Melbourne artist.
The painting above has been selected to be in the running for a prize in portraiture at the Newcastle Region Art Gallery this November.

    thanks! my favourite part of this is the use of the word 'young'. I was just saying to my partner today how i am the old lady in an upcoming 6 woman show in New York. It's nice to be referred to as young :) I suppose Patti would just laugh. Enjoying your blog. Cheers.
