Received an e/mail from Max Tannone (Jaydiohead) yesterday about his new project:I made the project in support of the Beastie Boys recent reissue of their "Check Your Head" album (one of my personal favorites.) The concept is that the Beastie Boys are mashed up with themselves, rapping over tracks sampling their own instrumentals, with all vocals and sampled elements coming from "Check Your Head."

ReplyDeleteI'm bookmarking your blog, I see you have great taste in music. Are you on the beastieboys message board? If so, I'm facedownfall on there. Ironic, I found this searching for rickytic. Listen closely to "Booty Groove", I've played it when djing a few bars, you may notice the verses are different than the album version. It's good stuff. ReplyDeleteNot on the Beastie's board (will check it out), yeah it is good this & missed the diff version - thanx. (Son of) is about to get reactivated soon(ish)! Yeah I know I have good taste (LOL) but it is nice when other people realise that too!!! Do check out the Jaydiohead stuff too, there are two EP's to download.
