Obviously I am not linking in a "derogatory or otherwise objectionable manner" either...
Rob @PencilBloke
London2012 say you're not allowed to link to their website in a "derogatory or otherwise objectionable manner" http://www.london2012.com/terms-of-use/ (sec 5)
What?!? Now we’re not even allowed to link to the Olympics website?

Mitt Romney's inconsistencies about leaving Bain make him the first man in history to lie about not lasting that long.
DECODER (1984)
Director: Jürgen Muschalek aka Muscha
MUZAK is more than MUSIC. DECODER is a legendary German cult film (from 1984) based on the writings and themes of William S. Burroughs. Burroughs himself acts in a key scene in the film, along with F.M. Einheit (Einstürzende Neubauten), Christiane F., Genesis P-Orridge (Throbbing Gristle, Psychic TV) and underground film star Bill Rice.
The story of urban chaos and intrigue focuses on the sonic experiments of the disillusioned “noise freak” FM, who is experimenting with music and infra-sound (low-frequency noise). In search of new and extreme sounds he stumbles into a kind of black mass being celebrated by urban pirates. He is able to convince them to join him in his search for an antidote to muzak, as he discovers that the musical tranquilizer can become a brain poison. After distributing multiple copies of their anti-tape the urban pirates successfully induce nausea in H-Burger restaurants, not to the liking of their multinational headquarters who promptly dispatch a special agent to stop the tape-terrorism which spreads rapidly, leading to mass civil disobiedience and street fighting.

Scanner - From land, at sea and in the air
Scanner (aka Robin Rimbaud), is creating a sonic world celebrating
Glasgow and its journey through different modes of transport that have
been used over time. By downloading his stunning new soundscape, you can celebrate the works of Glasgow’s
award-winning Riverside Museum. Right click here to download Scanner's soundscape.
This sonic journey will take you from human powered transportation – walking, running, swimming, through the advent of technology with bicycles, boats and aircraft.
Often traversing the experimental terrain between sound, space, image and form, Scanner is renowned for creating absorbing, multi-layered sound pieces that twist technology in unconventional ways. His work has won him international admiration from amongst others, Bjork, Aphex Twin and Stockhausen.

Heterosis – A Kinetic Typeface
The typeface featured in this video was
constructed from transparent acrylic and transparent elastic. All the
characters were photographed 60 times at intervals of 6 degrees of
rotation in order to produce the motion loop.
Each character in this kinetic typeface was designed by 'blending'
two (essentially 1 dimensional) vector lines across a spatial plane in
order to produce a 3 dimensional letter. The result is a set of
characters that holds more possibilities than the standard 2 dimensional
alphabets to which we are accustomed.Via

I will remind everyone talking about Condi: Drudge regularly links to Alex Jones stories. That is all.
Hassan-i Sabbah and the Secret Order of Hashishins
One thing I have never really understood is the supposed use of hashish as a primer for battle etc. Wouldn't it more likely to have been khat they used?
When Black Metal's Anti-Religious Message Gets Turned on Islam
"Burn the Quran! Burn the fucking Quran!" a woman screams hoarsely, over
and over again. Tinny guitars course beneath her howls, sawing away at
any semblance of melody. Sampled snippets of fundamentalist Islamic
rhetoric filter through, and muffled voices exhort their unseen audience
to praise Allah and to destroy the infidel.
To fans of heavy music, the hallmarks are immediately recognizable. This is raw, mid-tempo black metal, a lo-fi example of heavy metal's most evil subgenre. Black metal feeds upon hatred, nihilism, and anti-human behavior. Extremity is everything. It drinks the blood of Christ, turns upon its own, and takes almost carnal pleasure in the theory and imagery of war. The music from the early days of this scene conjured images of the ashes of burned churches and the dried blood of murder, and yet the genre, in its middle age, often doesn't shock the way it once did. The hellish noise of this particular song, though, does. There's something different about it. This is real...

Romney stayed longer at Bain
The timing of Romney’s departure from Bain is a key point of contention because he has said his resignation in February 1999 meant he was not responsible for Bain Capital companies that went bankrupt or laid off workers after that date...
