I was born in England, I grew up in England.

I can, somehow, hear the word "Germany" without thinking of world war two. In fact it's a word I associate more with "cars" or "beer".

Am I unique?

So the other night I went to see Dan Tucceri performing at the piano in the Carringbush Hotel again and one of the bonuses is that sometimes Dan tells a tale about the performer or the piece that he is playing.

Now my knowledge of classical music is not so hot and so I only learnt the other night (when Dan was performing Dubussy's Pegodes and it kept reminding me of Merry Christmas Mr lawrence / Forbidden Colours) of the influence of Asian music on Debussy and his influence on Ryuichi Sakamoto.
