Andrew Weatherall guest programs RAGE (1 March 2008)

A lot of love has been put into this recreation of The Guvnor hosting ABC Australia's RAGE show back in 2008 by a couple of guys at The Flightpath Estate and they posted it today on what would have been Andrew's 58th birthday
Staying here in Australia this is the unedited video of a conversation between Andrew and Ben Marshall (Sydney Opera House’s Head of Contemporary Music) Weatherall is in full raconteur mode, talking about the ritual of clubbing, the joy of music discovery and the importance of dressing for the occasion

Daphne Camf R.I.P.

Sad news for the Melbourne music community It was Black Cab main man Andrew Coates that introduced me to Daphne when she sang with Black Cab at the Espy quite a number of years ago. Again it was as they were playing around with versions of songs that would be featured on their Games of the XXI Olympiad album. I have it in my head that she sang on a long version of Supermädchen. I'm pretty certain I recorded that show but the audio will be sadly on a PC that still needs to be got up and running

Nowadays Live And Direct 002 - Underground Resistance

No introductions necessary for installment number two in our series of recordings from the booth. Enclosed is just under three hours of hard music from two members of UR that we were lucky enough to have come through at the end of March 2020. The recording is split into two parts. The high-octane, acidic, psycho stuff in this section comes courtesy of Dex Nomadico, who played during the first half of the party. And the raw, thumping, soulful sounds in the other section are taken from the last hour or so of Mark Flash's set – just as daylight broke through. Big respect and praise due to the whole UR family for letting us air these out and to all the dancers who gave this one their energy
