Assange @ #occupylsx

Mark Colvin
Assange speaks to adoring crowd. Reminds me of Life Of Brian: 'You're all individuals' 'We're all individuals', etc
Jen Robinson
Here with and police take him under section 60AA for wearing a mask to get into demo. Crazy.

The end of Sonic Youth?

Kim Gordon & Thurston Moore Split

#OccupyMelbourne (2) (15-10-11 City Square)

(Click on photos for full size versions)
On October 15th the world will rise up as one and say, 'We have had enough! We are a new beginning, a global fight on on all fronts that will usher in an era of shared prosperity, respect, mutual aid, and dignity.'
The tents have been erected. There was food, music, dancing and discourse.
It was getting well past Spaceboy's bedtime.
We shall be back tomorrow...
Interestingly enough there was no noticeable police presence come the end of our time there unlike this morning.

New York's Finest

An NYPD officer repeatedly runs over the leg of a legal observer with his motorcycle. As the observer lies writhing and screaming on the ground, the cop gets off his motorcycle and proceeds to drag the man about 5 feet and then puts him under arrest with a baton to the neck. This was a peaceful protest, and then the police decided to drive motorcycles through crowds of people to keep them from marching.
