Kevin Richard Martin's 'Bedroom Loops'. Music composed horizontally, and best listened to horizontally.
KRM sketched the music in seven consecutive nights on his bed, and then subsequently wrote/mixed them, in late evening sessions in the lab.
Seven nocturnal cycles of smokey, hazy, hypnotic repetitions. All sounds composed in the granular realm, incorporating only granular hardware synthesis/sampling/plugins and shadowy, dubbed out fx, and then fittingly chopped/screwed to the most single mindedly, drowsy pace in the analogue world over two months.
Seven ambient variations on the same misty, dreamlike theme...
A glittering, droning, blurred soundset of half heard delirium. An ode to heavy lids, an album to f-ck to, or get f-cked up to, or simply zone out with...
Immersion time. The emphasis is on slower than slow, the glacial shifts are subliminal, the impact is soporific. Anyone hooked on Martin's recent 'White Light/Red Light' releases, or the alien soundscapes found in King Midas Sound's 'Solitude' will enjoy this warm medication
