Albert Von Schweikert (lead guitar) and Karl Lamp (collaborator) wrote this song in 1967. The Raven was based in St. Pete, Florida and had a #1 hit with Calamity Jane in a few markets across the US. They backed Sonny and Cher and Neil Diamond, and also opened the shows for the Yardbirds (later to become Led Zeplin), the Who, and quite a few others from the 60's.
