    Ever read Mailer's 'The White Negro'?
    Nailed it: from Kerouac to the 'wigger'.
    Written in the late 50s; far more pertinent now than Powell, and that old queen Starkey.

    A LONG time ago...might have to reinvestigate. Can't believe Starkey! I had never come across him before - a benefit of being in Exile from the UK I guess LOL!
