Thanks a bunch for this link. As an artist and photographer (and Richard Prince fan that enjoyed Patrick Cariou's book) I like to flatter myself that I can see both sides of this issue. When convenient, I can convince myself I've got this all sorted. Nothing could be further from the truth (my creative freedom vs. rent is due, is beyond complicated). Joy Garnett clearly and convincingly presents yet another way of looking at this case.
