Funny. Lance Loud was was part of TV's first (real) reality show in the 70s, "An American Family." He came out as gay, which was (for some reason) a big deal at the time. The only reason I remember him is because I saw him at a early 70s Frank Zappa concert, when FZ brought him out on stage when to sing. Didn't know he went "pro" though.
2W/ I have heard of Lance Loud and the Mumps since way back tho I may have only heard one song if they were on one of those Max's comps (or something similar.) Wasn't he also Mentioned in Dispatches (that ref is just for you W :) the night of Sid VS Nancy at the Chelsea? Regards/
Not sure. I never followed the guy or the TV show. I just remember him from Zappa. My memory is gone, but I want to say might have sang "Louie Louie," but I could be dead wrong. I keep hoping it'll show up on some FZ release, but nothing so far. I think it was '74. The mind is a terrible thing to waste.
