♪♫ bvdub - Strong Again (Teach Me To Feel)
A sample from the forthcoming bvdub album "born in toyko" out via n5MD, September 10th 2013.
This is also due imminently (but knowing Echospace...)
It has been nearly five years since Brock's highly acclaimed 'White Clouds Drift On And On' debuted on Echospace earning a plethora of critical acclaim including many coveted top albums of the year list from RA to The Wire. Brock returns in beautiful form with what he proclaims to be his most personal and self-defining moment in his fruitful musical career. This album however strikes on a very different chord from the last, rather than find contentment in repeating himself he has sculpted a unique sound slightly out of focus from his previous work, a sound one could only say is like drifting in and out of consciousness. A place where early LSD experiments reveal third dimensions of the mind and evoke emotions so powerful they haunt forever. Here we see Brock's true dedication to vision, maturity and growth, the reason why so many people have gravitated to his heart-tugging productions. On, 'Home' Van Wey paints a near three hour exploration so beautiful and hypnotic that the listener feels as if only moments passed by - a second to forever. This is a welcome return to form in the one place Brock refers to as 'Home' here on Echospace. If Burial were to meet Eno in the studio of a BBC radio workshop session with Tape masters sent to Steve Roach for further deconstruction this might be the unique result, residing somewhere in the ether

Is the document swap mentioned at The Guardian at all?
Mr. Miranda was in Berlin to deliver documents related to Mr. Greenwald’s investigation into government surveillance to Ms. Poitras, Mr. Greenwald said. Ms. Poitras, in turn, gave Mr. Miranda different documents to pass to Mr. Greenwald. Those documents, which were stored on encrypted thumb drives, were confiscated by airport security, Mr. Greenwald said. All of the documents came from the trove of materials provided to the two journalists by Mr. Snowden.
Old friend ex Pretty Things drummer Viv Prince alive and well in Portugal tonight
I'll be honest I didn't think Viv would still be with us in this day and age. I met him in the late seventies through a woman I knew called Louise, who turned me on to Scott Walker and whose original May 68 posters I coveted. She was also one of the first twenty members of the original Rolling Stones fan club. Viv and her would reminisce about the early gigs and complain that they were never the same without Brian Jones. Viv also did the most incredible impersonation of Jagger's stage moves. Every so often I would get invited back to Viv's small bedsit in Highgate to try the demon home brew he made and I remember one night I was extolling the virtues of (some) disco music which to say didn't go down well with Viv would be a rather massive understatement. Anyway after falling unconscious at some point I finally awoke and headed off and after walking about a mile realised on seeing my reflection in a shop window that the bast'rd had written 'I LOVE DISCO' in texta on my forehead (NOT easy deciphering it backwards with a dreadful hangover!!!)

Srebrenica: A Cry from the Grave(1999)
A Cry from the Grave tells the story of the Srebrenica massacre of 1995,
in which the Bosnian Serb army killed an estimated 7,000 Bosnian
Muslims.
It follows hour by hour the story of the killings. Through the testimony of survivors and relatives of those who died it explores the pain felt when no one is brought to justice. There are interviews with investigators from the UN-sponsored court at The Hague and from the UN special prosecutor.
But the underlying message of the film is bleak indeed - no matter what is done, it will never be enough. A Cry from the Grave has won numerous prizes. It has been shown at the UN, and it was used during a war crimes trial at The Hague
