John Richards: Charge/Discharge (Documentary & Performance 2012)
Charge/Discharge explores how the very essence of an electronic instrument, electricity, can be used to shape and control sound.
Current produced by the Faraday ‘Dirty’ Kinetic Generator is stored in capacitors that act as a pool/reservoir. The more capacitance/the greater the size of the pool/reservoir, the longer the capacitors will take to charge and discharge. An idiosyncrasy of this circuit, and a critical part of the piece, is that, as the capacitors discharge, a glissando and ‘dying away’ of sound occurs. It is left to the discretion of the performers to choose the number and size of capacitors for their instrument.
On direction, each performer frantically shakes their Faraday ‘Dirty’ Kinetic Generator. As the capacitors charge, a chord approximately of the same pitch will eventually sound. Once all the capacitors are fully charged, a cue is given to stop shaking. A continuous sound will be present. The unified single pitch will gradually fragment into downward glissandi and an evolving cluster chord as the capacitors discharge. At different times, each oscillator will eventually cease sounding. The piece ends when the final sounding oscillator is silent.

Drawing on the exploration of the eruption of repressed desires and polymorphic perversions into the everyday, hinted at in J G Ballard’s experimental novel ‘The Atrocity Exhibition’, from where the colloquial title is drawn, this collection of images explores the emergence of new manifestations of the psychosexual unconscious. Mark LeVine: After Pussy Riot, artists everywhere must stand up for each other
'Jesus Christ would set them free'
It's impossible to know yet whether the wave of international support received by the Russian punk collective Pussy Riot during their just completed trial impacted the verdict in any way. But it's clear that the plight of the three young women who each now face the remainder of two years' imprisonment has ignited the passion of US and European artists, from Sting to Madonna, who have publicly called for their freedom.
Western artists can and should support their Russian comrades. But the support received by Pussy Riot is sadly an aberration. As a rule, European and US artists have been strangely - and inexcusably - silent when it comes to recognising the plights suffered by their fellow musicians and performers around the world, where freedom of expression receives little protection, censorship is prevalent and artists routinely face the threat of prosecution and jail from their governments, and more dangerously, threats to their physical safety and even lives by conservative social forces...

Big data is our generation’s civil rights issue, and we don’t know it
Data doesn’t invade people’s lives. Lack of control over how it’s used does.
What’s really driving so-called big data isn’t the volume of information. It turns out big data doesn’t have to be all that big. Rather, it’s about a reconsideration of the fundamental economics of analyzing data.
For decades, there’s been a fundamental tension between three attributes of databases. You can have the data fast; you can have it big; or you can have it varied. The catch is, you can’t have all three at once...

Only guessing but it seems to me that this mini album was deliberately leaked to help spread the word.
No info despite using yandex and even some of the cheapish Russian mpfree bootleg sites are offering it as a free download.
Of course if this is not the case then please let me know and I shall remove it ASAP.

Marijuana Withdrawal Syndrome: A Bibliography
The idea of marijuana addiction and withdrawal remains controversial in both private and scientific circles. For an unlucky few, a well-identified set of symptoms characterizes abstinence from heavy, daily use of pot. In this respect, marijuana addiction and withdrawal does not differ greatly from alcoholism--the vast majority of recreational users and drinkers will never experience it.
For those that do, however, the withdrawal symptoms of marijuana abstinence can severely impact their quality of life. Since discussions of this topic frequently veer off into sociopolitical arguments, leaving the science behind, I offer a sampling of the growing medical and psychiatric literature on this aspect of drug use and abuse.
