Jochen Arbeit + Scanner - Propulsion
Live
recording of improvisation between Jochen Arbeit of Einstürzende
Neubauten and Robin Rimbaud - Scanner as part of the 30th year
anniversary celebrations of the band, recorded at The Forum in London,
16th October 2010.
This live set was completely improvised with no rehearsal and what you hear is exactly what the audience heard that night. No adjustments, no cleaning up, just the truly raw, edgy and thrilling exposure to the moment.
Luke Turner of The Quietus captured the concert perfectly in describing it as "Jochen Arbeit's live collaboration with Robin 'Scanner' Rimbaud was an unqualified sex, retaining a propulsive groove and stern energy despite the improvised nature of the piece."

NB: Fundraiser for Petr Pavlensky
Petr Pavlensky is one of the main artists of the Nordwind Festival 2015. After his final action “Threat”, he was arrested and is currently in pre-trial detention in Moscow. In the early morning hours of November 9, 2015, the activist artist set fire to the front door of the Russian Federal Court FSB, residence from which in the 30s the Stalin purges were organized. Pawlenski was accompanied by two Russian journalists who documented the action.
The pictures went around the world and in Russia sparked a discussion on how citizens can claim their rights against an increasingly encroaching State. Pawlenski's prison sentence is expected to be 2 years. In Russian prisons an entirely inadequate basic care is provided, so that all prisoners are dependent on external resources. On online stores, food for the prisoner can be ordered at inflated prices for the prisoners, which makes the stay extremely expensive. In cooperation with the partners: Kampnagel Hamburg, Sophiensaele Berlin and Dresden Hellerau, the Northwind Festival is calling out a fundraiser in favor of Pjotr Pawlenski, in order to assist him in prison. The complete amount will be given to Oksana Shalygina, Pjotr Pawlenski's partner.

Lu G Williams - Live @The Forum Melbourne (7/12/15)
Handheld Tascam recording of Lucinda's rather wonderful gig in a hot and sweltering Melbourne the other night. Man the band were incredible too: Stuart Mathis on guitar, Butch Norton on drums and the incredible David Sutton on bass. She threw in covers of The Clash's 'Should I Say Or Should I Go' and Neil Young's 'Rockin' In A Free World' as well as a couple of tunes from her forthcoming album 'The Ghost of Highway 20'. The final encore was a cover of 'It's a Long Way to the Top (If You Wanna Rock 'n' Roll)' which is not included as I fugn loathe AC/DC and that song

Rusker27 - In Absentia (For John Murphy)
Perhaps I need to explain myself. These recordings are deeply personal, a way of making sense of time & place. In this sketch; we have doors & lift at Arts Victoria, footsteps on Marum volcano in Ambrym Vanuatu, aluminium channels in Windsor 85', a beautiful piece for Erica & 10 or so lovely sub-bass hits via EQ. All conjured up as a memorial for John Murphy. Blessings to all xo- Andrew Rusker
In memory of John Murphy (1959 – 2015).
