Rhys Chatham on voting Republican
I just wanted to say, that I think musicians are very nice. they are a special bunch, open always, to lovely ideas, perhaps crazy ideas, that bring us.. further.
Unlike the Republicans, their leaders are for the one per cent, the poor working class people who follow them listen only to their their TV idols, who tell them what to think... against their best interests, alas.
Any person who votes Republican and makes under one million dollars per year is voting against her or his best interest, in my view.
Any women who votes for Ryan is not thinking entirely clearly, if she looks at the facts. I mean, just look at what the man believes in, jeez.
And between both of them, is that what we want for the next 8 years? By all means, give the country to the one per cent. They HATE the vote. That's why they lie so much with their PACS.

Turkey: Another woman murdered in Antalya, one more victim in the undeclared war
Via TGEU listserve:
A trans* person (her name is Serap, 29) was murdered early this morning - around 05.00 - in Antalya, Turkey. Her throat was cut. The police came into the scene when she was alive, however she died before she was taken to the hospital. Other trans* from the district came together after she was attacked to see her however (based on the a trans from Antalya said) the police pepper sprayed people who gathered and did not react immediately to take Serap to the hospital.
Hopefully we will have more details in the upcoming days.
As ever, my thoughts go out to Serap’s loved ones and all my trans sisters in Turkey, fighting daily to survive in an undeclared war being waged by their compatriots with the tacit complicity of the state.
