REVIEW BY JACKISAN:
"What a brilliant performance from such an extremely talented musician.
Charismatic, sultry & energetic.
Treating the crowd to several Concrete Blonde tracks Johnette's powerful voice had the crowd on her side all night, from slow acoustic ballads from her own pen to raucous cover versions of 'Ghost Riders In The Sky' & 'Beds Are Burning' & finishing with an acapella rendition of 'Tomorrow Wendy'.
One of the best live gigs that I have seen.
Words fail me.
Simply superb."

Sweet soul music with a message

I scream, you scream!

Max Q

Despite the involvement of Michael Hutchence, Max Q were superb. Obviously down to Ollie Olsen and the rest of the band. John Murphy (the drummer) actually rang me up when I first arrived in Melbourne to see if I was interested in making some music. I said "NO" as my kids were tiny.
How stupid was that! John, if you read this, I am up for it now.

Yobs Floored By Cage Fighters In Drag

Two drunken thugs have learnt a lesson after the pair of cross-dressing men they attacked turned out to be cage fighters in fancy dress. Haplesss Dean Gardner, 19, and Jason Fender, 22, were floored by their intended victims after picking on them in a random attack. The amazing scene was captured on CCTV in the centre of Swansea, Wales. The footage shows a bare-chested Gardner brazenly marching up to one of the 'victims' who was wearing hot pants and a pink wig. Puffed-up Gardner, followed by Fender, runs up to the innocent reveller, who was dressed up for a stag party, and punches him in the face. But the victim's friend, - wearing a short black dress, stockings and suspenders - suddenly appears behind them felling them both with two devastating punches.

The 'Moonie's' new leader

It's one of the most controversial religious movements of the last century.
Founded in Seoul in the 1950s by the Reverend Sun Myung-moon, Unificationism has attracted hundreds of thousands of members worldwide.
But the movement has been accused of cult-like practices, with its leader's followers dubbed "Moonies".
As Sun Myung-moon approaches his 90th birthday, he has handed over key responsibilities to one of his sons.
Hyung Jin-moon is just 30 years old, and grew up in the United States, where he studied theology at Harvard University.
