(Video 2) (These titles on You Tube videos really annoy me, especially when they are fucking wrong!)
Still have a copy of this when it was on an EP given away with the NME in the 80's. No involvement by Coldcut. Yes that drum rhythm is sampled from 'Honky Tonk Women'.
Looks like the Australian Government's proposal for the 'Clean Feed' might not get through Parliament. More details here. 'Education of Parents' - what a novel idea!
Pink Nasty (AKA Sara Beck) is worthy of your attention.
This will get you her duet with Bonnie 'Prince' Billy, 'Don't Ever Change' (the ultimate in power ballads!) and her cover of Usher's 'Burn' (which is really good and makes you realise what a great song it actually is.) As a bonus there is also her video for 'Away Message' included. Pink Nasty @ MySpace here. There is an interview at Aquarium Drunkard here. Oh and she has a brother called Black Nasty. (Not for the faint hearted!)
Late addition. Here is a demo for her upcoming third album. It's a song about getting drunk and buying a dog!
Tackhead will do a gig in New York City, on Sunday March 22, 2009. The band is booked as Bernard Fowler & Tackhead by The High Line Ballroom. More information here.
'King of the Beat' TACKHEAD @ Sully's Pub near downtown Hartford, Connecticut. The band's first show after a 14-year hiatus. (Summer 2004) Video by Dave Hogerty
The Netherlands "are a collective effort. The Netherlands don’t have a front man. We don’t have a face. We do have good sounds and good songs." 'We Are Not' "‘We Are Not’ is the first album. It is art pop, dub reggae, psychedelica, electro. But then again, it’s not." My Space.
