Obedience is Dead

Today a trip back to the future to look at a group of post-war intellectuals and artists whose message is being quoted, as we speak, on the streets of New York and elsewhere, as the Occupy Wall Street protests continue to grow. Guy Debord and the Situationists devised a whole new and playful way of looking at the world back in the 1950s and 60s and McKenzie Wark's new book, The Beach Beneath the Street, dissects these 'glorious times' -- as he puts it.
