Oh, likewise - my mum used to make cracks about not knowing if it was a boy or a girl - but this was such a pivotal moment. I was one of the people at the Royal Festival Hall in London in 2005 buying a "Horses Changed My Life" t-shirt when Patti performed the whole album that night (supported by John Cale) - she really was that important!

It *was* Meltdown - the gig was later released on the Horses anniversary double CD - it was apparently being filmed but no DVD ever emerged. Cale was amazing too but I've never found a recording of his set. He was supposed to appear for the encore of My Generation but didn't show - I guess they fell out again!
