    Regardless of the silly hats and all his constant "do yourself a favour" comments, for that song alone we must bow down to the genius of Molly Meldrum.

    This is not the clip of The Real Thing I remember seeing when the song first came out, it must have been shown on "Uptight" with Ross D. Wylie as the host and Molly Meldrum doing record(sic) reviews(the man who introduced me to the music of Osibisa and African music). That Russell Morris clip was considered the first rock music clip(previously bands pretty much just came and played live(or mimed) in the studio, the film-music clip allowed bands to present their work without being in the studio(and created a whole new industry of music film clips), presented/originated by Molly Meldrum and had lots of psychedelic, arty, light-show visual effects swirling with the music and Russell Morris.
