The verdict...

Well I have been patintly waiting for this and to be honest I am a little bit underwhelmed.
Seems to me that this is Sir Michael Phillip Jogger's attempt to sway this away from being seen as a 'Keef' Stones album.
No murky vocal mixes this time around!
The idea of contemporary lyrics and vocals (and guitars and harmonica) for old backing tracks is not really my idea of an 'Exile' outtakes album.
Will give it a few more listens but...

  1. rock n roll storytime.... a friend told me that his mate is the headmaster of a very posh private school where sir mick of joggers kids go. the head is a big stones fan. so head was very pleased to hear that sir mick had made appt to discuss something with head..... Sir mick arrives only to discuss lack of homework that young joggers are being set.... how very rock n roll sir mick...how very very rock n roll

  2. Well I heard it....
i don't mind that much how music is made, meaning old unreleased instrumental tracks with new vocal (and guitars and harmonica) is ,to me, can be regarded as NEW
and for a half baked/mixed bag of 'new' tracks and alternate version is not that bad ... the best since 'Bridges to Babylon'
but is it not an 'Exile' outtakes album, No sir Jogger it is not!
