    it's the new release CD + DVD 'Nihon' came out July 15th. The Cosmic Slop bit was magical i thought!

    I don't think it's actually hit stores everywhere, even though it's out. You can get the MP3 or FLAC of the CD part direct from http://www.rarenoiserecords.com as well as getting the physical release from either them or Downtown Music Gallery. I saw them twice this weekend and they sound even better than the Nihon show. DJ Krush and Hawkman are great additions. And yes....Bernie is a god....!

    Yes - both NYC...They did Friday night at the Music Hall of Williamsburg and Saturday at the Bowery Ballroom. They went out to SF last week, though DJ Krush was not with them. I wish attendance had been a little better, but I think they can build steam as they go. I don't know about recordings. I tend not to make any myself. There were video cameras running (professional) both nights, but I didn't ask anyone to what end. I would like to see a live recording of this line-up come out, though. These shows as compared to Nihon (maybe with the exception of Cosmic Slop) are a little more sturctured. There are deifnitely some songs in there, though with enough improv to still feel right for this crew. Most of the tunes tend to be rooted in Dr. Israel or Hawkman's work.
